Scale details: 0.022'' thick, mirror finish 430 stainless on one side (the outside of your fabric) and matte aluminum on the inside. The stainless surface will have very small scratches that are only noticable from very close.
The stainless layer is about 1/3 the total thickness.

Punched round scale 1/2''OD x 1/4''ID x 0.032" Thick
Made with Alloy 430 stainless steel. This alloy will rust if left wet. The rust can be rubbed off with a cloth.
To assemble as shown use 18g 5/32''ID connector rings. The weave shown is a slightly overlapping oriental 4in1. The difference between the pics is only the hanging orientation - hanging-open vs hanging-closed.
These round scales are slightly dished - which is a strength feature. They are also shipped with the residual cutting lube on them - so the package will appear dirty. You can clean this off by wipping them with a cloth, tumbling or by washing in hot soapy water and drying immediately.
You can also use these ring as punched ring in any other project.
These are much easier to put together compared to leaf shaped scales.
